Hi! I’m John! I’m a creative WordPress designer & developer with a strong mix of visual design sensibility and technical execution. I build full websites and product pages from scratch, with a focus on layout, clarity, and conversion.

As a former product creator, I have learned to look at things from the customer’s perspective, not just the client’s—always considering what the visitor will think, feel, or notice first. I also value copywriting and CRO thinking—understanding what makes people click, hesitate, or convert—and shaping pages around those behaviors. For me, design and copy work best when they’re aligned and intentional.

  • Hero Designs – hero section (or the first section) designs just cause this gets the most eyes on the page.
  • Products – some of the products I personally created before.

Mock Brands/Companies

These are page builds for ‘mock’ companies. Designed in wordpress elementor and written from scratch. All sites are mobile optimized, too. (these sites will open in a new tab)

Bay Breeze Mechanical- HVAC Home page (SEO titles)

Bay Breeze Mechanical would be an HVAC company based in Sarasota, FL.

  • This time i wanted to feature the crew 'van' on the hero.
  • This adds credibility and help remove doubt on people's mind if they're asking 'is this company legit'.
  • Faces of the owners, actual on the job shots and pictures of work trucks/van would help with this. But since this is only a mockup, I went a head with featuring the so called work van.
  • A little uix improvement on the page is having those cards right below the hero section clickable.
  • These cards were chosen because they immediately address what a visitor could be looking for.

Clayton Plumbing - Landing Page (For Campaigns)

  • This would be a landing page for the Clayton Plumbing site.
  • The intention here is that this would be used for ad campaigns (fbads/google ads).
  • We don't want to send ad traffic to the SEO main page since it's longer/texty and the headlines are not optimized for ad traffic.
  • In the landing page, I've adjusted copy, especially the headlines and some stripped sections to make the page shorter. Also removed navigation.
  • We're advertising primarily for the '24/7 plumbing service'.
  • We could also be building different landing pages for specific services (like drain cleaning, toilet installations, etc) to allow us to craft better messaging/ctas on the specific service.

Clayton Plumbing - Main Site (Optimized for SEO)

Clayton Plumbing - SEO Main Site

  • This would be the 'main site' for Clayton plumbing.
  • The homepage is optimized for SEO.
  • Therefore, the text are a bit longer, and mentions location a lot.
  • The headlines 'talks' to the search engines more than the person.
  • The main CTA is to call or book a service. I am still unsure which one a real plumbing company would prefer.
  • If the actual client has it, I would change the image n the hero section to be of the client, or use their trucks as the visuals. This builds more 'legitness' when an ideal visitor lands on the page.
  • While i carefully select stock photos - the more the client can provide their own images (especially trucks, teams, on the job shots), the better.

Plumbing Business Coach

  • This would be a site for a plumber turned business coach .
  • He now coaches other tradesman after building his businesses and wants to share his success to others.
  • This would be an ideal page for a funnel. 
  • The goal here is to get potential clients to book a free strategy call.
  • I've worded it so the strategy call is 'limited' (only a few spots per week because...).
  • There's an About page to know more about him
  • The Pro coaching page is where more details on the program will be listed.
  • Ideally i would put more things here but a real coach would have their own what's included/what you get/payment info, etc. in their coaching program.
  • It was important that the first section (hero section), would immediately communicate that the person was a plumber, hence the visuals.

  • This would be the main home page for a roofing company.
  • The headlines are more SEO optimized.
  • The CTA would be a 'free inspection'.
  • The cta buttons opens in a popup instead of loading to a new page.
  • This only the home page.

What an actual client could provide:

  • Ideally, the client would have several 'brands with work with' where i can put a 'logo' strip.
  • Certifications/badges/bbb ratings
  • What CTA they want emphasize (Call, book, estimate, inspection).
  • Details on about/story
  • Financing options

Yellow Ridge Roofing -Home Page (CRO)

  • This would be the main home page for a roofing company.
  • The headlines are more CRO oriented - so more talking to the visitor rather than the search engines.
  • I've kinda mixed slight SEO and CRO here.
  • So if you want to send the traffic directly to your home page and not build another landing page - this would be something i would produce (but it's probably better to create a separate an ad-focused landing page).
  • The cta buttons opens in a popup instead of loading to a new page.

Wrench Wolf Plumbing - home page

Wrench Wolf Plumbing Home page.

  • One of my earlier 'mock builds'.
  • Main headline emphasizes immediately the emergency service.
  • Also shows immediately the most common services in card boxes. 
  • Ideally, clicking on them would open the contact  from box.
  • There was no SEO optmization here yet. ☺️

  • Tried to redesign the old one with Fort Collins as the location.
  • I tried adding some 'logos' of organizations around the landscaping industry in Colorado... but an ideal client would probably know better what to put.

  • A landing page for a mom coach.
  • Has a who, what, how section.
  • Lists what one would get on the coaching program.
  • Has conversational/friendly tone.

  • A landing page for a burnout/productivity coach.
  • Target audience: people in their 20s doing the 'hustle' routine.

  • I'm still putting it here since it still looks good.
  • It has everything you need for a solid landing page for a pressure washing service company.
